Pink and Purple Inks Part I

Pink Inks:

Pink Ink samples

Jansen Magenta: Medium Pink similar to Waterman Pink but slightly darker and better intensity. (bottled ink only)

Waterman Pink: Intense light to medium pink which is more towards violet than P.R. Pink. (Cartridges and bottled ink)

Lamy Pink: Light to medium pink, similar to P.R. Pink, less intensity and less violet than Waterman Pink. (I've seen cartridges only so far, but bottles may exist, too)

Waltraud Bethge Papier Cool Colors Mondstaub (Moon Dust): Very interesting and unique color, which would be best descriped as a grey purple or purplish grey with blue and magenta tones. Ink seems very watery and thin first, but darkens a little bit when drying. (bottled ink only)

Burgundy Inks:

Parker Quink Violet: Sheaffer Burgundy is the only close color to this. It 's less intense (more greyish) and less red (more violet) than Sheaffer Burgundy.

(While this color was only avaiable in cartridges in France as far as I know, and being discontinued for a some years, I don't know if the coor I got is still the original one and didn't alter over the time)

Sheaffer Burgundy: More of a dark red burgundy color with purple hues. Very nice and unique ink beside Parker Quink Violet, suitable for serious writing.
(Cartridges and bottled ink)

Purple Inks (from blue to red) :

Purple ink samples

Waterman Violet: Rich, and very intense dark blue violet with very good flow. (Cartridges and bottled ink)

Rotring Ultramarine: A color inbetween violet and blue, similar to P.R. Tanzanite, but less intesne and slightly more towards a Royal Blue color. (Cartridges and bottled ink, discontinued)

Sheaffer Lavender: Lighter medium blue - violet "lavender" color. Might be to light for serious writing but is still a very nice color with a great balance between blue and red tones. (Cartridges and bottled ink)

Jansen Violet: intense true medium violet, being more intense than Sheaffer's Lavender but lighter and not as blue as Waterman. (bottled ink only)

Waltraud Betghe Papier Classic Colors Aubergine: Lighter faded purple color towards a medium (not bright) pink with magenta and gray hues (Somewhat like the W.B.P. Moondust but not as gray and with more color) Looks very washed out and light with most nips. (bottled ink only)

Pelikan Violet: Medium violet more towards the magenta (red) violet colors. OK intensity. (Cartridges and bottled ink)

Lamy Violet: Intense medium violet similar to Pelikan Violet in terms of color, but with just a bit more magenta and better intensity. (Cartridges and bottled ink)

I Have not tried Private Reserve (bottled ink only) personally but seen actual samples:

Baby Lips Pink: Intense but light to medium pink with slight flesh color or lobster tones

Hot Bubble Gum: Intense vibrant "neon"-pink color.

Tanzanite: Darker medium color in-between violet and blue. More intense and slightly darker than Rotring Ultramarine, but slightly more violet.

Plum: Very unique and intense "plum" color with very visible magenta - red tones
