The Tilburg Pen Show is one of the European pen shows I visit regularly. Just like the last times, this years Pen Show took place in Tilburg, Netherlands on the last Saturday in September.

Jeanne van Putten-van Sprundel is the organizer of this show and does a great job arranging it in the Tilburg writing instruments museum, Scryption, which is a great setting for a pen show. This year over 30 tables were set up by dealers from all over the world but mostly from the Netherlands and Germany. Jeanne seems to remember regular visitors of the show very well and always finds time to say hello to them!

The Tilburg pen show is a great place to take a look at modern and vintage pens. The newest precious limited editions pens are on display as well as more affordable regular production pens.

Many experts of vintage pens attend this show and bring a great selection of vintage pens with them.

I would like to apologize in advance to all those who were at this show and are not being mentioned in this article! ....I just can’t remember all of them :-)

Jos and Marion Kamp from the Netherlands always bring a fine selection of vintage Parker and Sheaffer pens – those pens are in great condition and there are always some more rare pens to take a look at. I was able to see a Cathey Green Doric for the first time. Jos collects vintage Conklin pens so chances are good to spot some vintage Conklins on his table as well.

Being a big fan of Omas pens, Tom Westerich’s table is always a "must" to check out. Tom is very well known for his great skills in pen repair and nib works (I had several nibs tuned and made into italic and stub nibs). I’m still very grateful to him for putting back the missing cap bands of a rare vintage Montblanc Meisterstück!

This year he brought some very interesting pieces to the show besides his "regular" selection of vintage Montblancs, Pelikans and many others.

Tom reproduces "vintage" pen repair tools like a Vac-Tool (which I bought right away) and devices to dissassemble vintage Montblancs.
